MT Propellers have become known and desired by operators of many types of aircraft for many reasons. Lighter. Stronger. More thrust. No life limits. Reduced vibration.
Aluminum supports harmonic vibration. Composite does not. Natural composite, by its nature, creates the least amount of vibration compared to metal or competing structural composite propellers, so the rest of your airplane lasts longer and you can set power and RPM to your needs.
Metal props have absolute dimension limits. Every time a nick is filed out and the prop dressed, you get closer to that limit and further from the manufacturer's optimized performance dimensions. MT Propellers, when overhauled, are brought back to exact factory-new dimensions.

Features
Reduced Weight MT natural composite propellers are significantly lighter than aluminum propeller systems, saving weight where it matters most: on the end of your engine crankshaft.
Reduced Polar Moment It takes power to swing mass. Less mass to swing means more of your power goes into producing thrust.
Reduced Vibration Composite does not support harmonic vibration the way aluminum does, so gyros, motor mounts, radios, heat muffs and cowlings last longer. Most MT props require no restricted RPM range in standard applications.
Greater Strength The durable nickel-cobalt leading edge is the strongest in the industry, across any propeller on the market.
Life Unlimited Metal props get closer to their dimension limits every time they are dressed. MT Propellers are brought back to exact factory-new dimensions at overhaul.
Steel Hub Inserts A replaceable, hardened stainless steel bearing insert. Standard hubs wear against machined aluminum and must be completely replaced when out of tolerance.
Quieter Many MT STCs use more blades with a smaller diameter, resulting in lower tip speeds and quieter operation.
Prop Strike Lab tests and field experience have shown less damage with MT composite props.
Adds Resale Value Many pilots consider an MT propeller a valuable upgrade that adds value to the aircraft at the time of sale.
Fuel Savings
Flight Resource's Cessna 182 test platform ran 2300 rpm x 23" MP at 130 KTAS and 12.5 GPH with the standard 2-blade metal prop. With the MT composite it ran 2100 rpm x 24" MP at 130 KTAS and 11.5 GPH.
Warranty
Fully warranted for 1 year or 1,000 hours, whichever occurs first, for any manufacturing defects.
Service Centers
MT has a worldwide network of prop shops that have trained and been approved to service MT Propellers.
STCs & Data Sheets
Product data sheets and performance test data are on Flight Resource's STCs available page.
